Remote Operations Review

This report focuses on remote operations without a line-of-sight to the machine, and which are commercially available,suitable for heavy work machines and potentially available to be integrated into different platforms. Additionally, one chapter reviews legal aspects relating to the use of remote operation. The information in this report has been gathered through visits to industrial expos and public sources (company websites, presentations, product sheets and promotional videos, Crunchbase and equivalent for company statistics). The report is compiled by Operview Oy – a Tampere University based spinoff company developing vision technologies for increased situational awareness in local and remote operation situations.
