Range Extenders in Mobile Work Machines

This report introduces the Range Extender concept and technology in mobile work machine use. The report is not intended to be academic research of the range extender usage, but rather an introduction to the theme so that it will give an insight on possible issues and concerns related to the matter. The report introduces several different technologies on the range extenders and batteries. Furthermore, it introduces the latest emission requirements on selected geographical markets and also provides a brief look at the required energy simulations/estimations to select the right type and size equipment for the range extender use.
