Programming Multi-Machine Fleets

This Work Package investigates the flexible and rapid reprogramming of mixed fleet systems by domain experts instead of professional software professional. Our goal is to develop new methods for programming and configuring cooperative operations of mixed fleet systems.

Research questions:

• How big role domain experts can take in these programming tasks?

• What is the developer experience of domain experts?

• How the reliability of the developed system can be achieved?

• What is best approach for programming by domain experts?  As first candidates we investigate:

  • Use of model-based development.

  • Use of generative AI (LLM) together with model-based approach to ensure critical properties.
